You can miss them and still know leaving was the right choice.

You can love someone and still need boundaries.

You can be healing and still have hard days.

You can forgive and still choose not to go back.

Not everything in life has to fit neatly into either/or.

Sometimes, the truth is found in allowing two things to exist at once.

Healing makes room for complexity. 🤍

Congratulations for this fantastic and much needed book.

My review on Amazon will give you a glimpse of it:

Hope That Doesn't Deny the Hard Parts
The Gift of Hope by Arokia Anotysamy is a heartfelt and deeply personal book that reminds us of something easy to lose sight of when life gets hard: hope is not wishful thinking, and it doesn't require pretending everything is fine. It's a choice, a source of strength, and a way of moving forward, even while holding onto what's difficult.

I especially appreciated the author's acknowledgment of the "cruelty of Stay Positive." That distinction resonated deeply. True hope doesn't ask us to deny pain, minimize suffering, or perform okay-ness when we're not. There's something far more honest, and ultimately more healing, about making room for what hurts while still believing life can hold something more.

What makes this book so meaningful is that it isn't hope observed from a distance or wrapped in empty inspirational phrases. It's hope that has been tested by real life, and that comes through on every page. There's a genuine sense of compassion throughout, without ever making hope feel simplistic or unrealistic.

This is a book to return to when you need encouragement, perspective, or a reminder that difficult seasons don't define the whole story. Arokia Anotysamy offers a message that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

A courageous, honest read I'd recommend to anyone navigating a hard season and looking for hope that feels human and real.

Awareness can show you the pattern, but change happens when you start responding differently.

You may understand your triggers and know exactly where they came from, yet still fall into familiar reactions. That doesn’t mean you’re going backward.

Healing is built through small, intentional choices.

Your past can explain your patterns without controlling your future.

What is one pattern you’re learning to change?

Sunset over the rooftops of Berlin. It’s one of the greatest cities I know. For many years we even had a Nightingale singing. 🎶🐦‍⬛🪽❤️

Understanding yourself is only the beginning.

You can recognize where your patterns came from and understand why you respond the way you do, but awareness alone doesn’t change them.

Healing begins when you choose a different response, even in small moments.
Maybe it’s setting a boundary, speaking up, or giving yourself the compassion you never received.

One different choice can start a new pattern.

What is one response you’re learning to change?

Best Italian appetizer plates since decades - this one is near my Alma mater.

And I shared the meal with a wonderful friend from Uni times.

Sometimes, breaking a cycle starts with a quiet realization:

“This may have been passed down to me, but it doesn’t have to be passed on.”

You can be the person who decides to look closer at the patterns you grew up with, understand where they came from, and choose a different way forward.

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You don’t need to heal everything at once.

You simply need the courage to pause, become aware, and make a different choice, one moment at a time.

What is one pattern you’re choosing not to carry into the next generation?

The Cycle Breaker explores generational patterns, unfinished healing, and what it means to create a different future.

And here the lakes and forests close up. A small castle. The deep earthy scent of the soil after the rain - Heimat.

A wonderful day of learning, connection, and community! 🌱💚

I had the pleasure of joining the Jentuby Family of Directors on an excursion to an organic rooftop farm on Staten Island.

The farm grows fresh, organic produce, uses it in their restaurant, and donates any excess food to local food pantries, bringing sustainability and community impact together.

Thank you, Nicotra Farm, for welcoming us and for the incredible work you do! 💚

Sometimes, healing begins with one decision:

“I don’t want this to continue with me.”

You may be the first in your family to question old patterns, face the pain, and choose something different for the generations that follow.

You don't have to get everything right. You just have to be willing to notice, heal, and choose differently. ❤️

What is one pattern you're choosing to leave behind?
