If You Can Not Afford A Water Softening System. Use Adam's Mega Foam Soap
So i have to DI water softening systems just sitting in my storage. One to use for renovating my van's interior which i have not had time to do yet because of the busy schedule and another one just to have in case the other one fails. I always buy 2 of everything for that specific reason. The DI water softening systems can be expensive for some and in this demonstration i thought i would show you the results. I used hard water on this exterior wash. I used the Adam's Mega Foam in the foam cannon and in the wash bucket as well.
I even let the soap dry on the surface on a very hot day in direct sun and the Mega foam just leaves the car spot free. Now of course after rinising you can not just leave the water to evaporate like DI water but Adam's Mega Foam has water softeners formulated in the soap and engineered to dissolve the calcium in hard water. So if you are unable to afford a water softening system, this soap will be your best friend.

How would you remove rust on alloy wheels?
I bought this car at auction and the rotors had rusted with the rust running down onto the wheels. How would you clean these? Iron remover?
UPDATE: it’s beginning to come off using Adam’s Iron remover and a plastic razor blade

Is the top touchless wash membership actually worth it over the middle tier or just marketing?
Which touchless monthly membership would you choose and why? All are limited to 15 washes per month. Is the $40 one actually worth it over the $33 or is it basically the same?

Sunscreen stain on new car door panel, makeup remover wipes made it worse. Any fix?
A friend got sunscreen on the interior door panel of my car. I couldn’t remove it with water or regular interior wipes, so I tried makeup remover sheets. It removed most of the sunscreen, but now there’s a lighter/whitish patch left behind (photos attached).
The material is the textured soft-touch upper door trim, not leather. Before I make it worse, does this look like residue that can still be cleaned off, or did the wipes damage the finish? Any recommended products or methods?

First time paint correcting. How’d I do?
Did a one step paint correction on my preowned x3 m40i that had some marring/swirls/hazing from the dealership and previous owner.
I used a griots g9 random orbital with sonax perfect finish polish and Rupes yellow foam pads.
Took me about 2 full days (spread out over the course of a week) and total cost was a little under $800 since I started with nothing. I now know why detailers charge what they do but overall I’m very satisfied with the outcome.
Ask me any questions as a first timer. If I can do it, most of you can too. Some before and after pics are attached.
Process I followed:
\\- foam/rinse
\\- foam again with strip wash
\\- contact wash then rinse
\\- iron remover/rinse
\\- foam
\\- clay bar/mitt
\\- rinse then dry with forced air and large microfiber
\\- polished
\\- surface prep
\\- ceramic coat paint
\\- ceramic coat windows/sunroof

Took a full weekend, but I feel good seeing the result! Excited to wash the cars tomorrow.
So, I started out with a pretty basic idea, and then decided to change it to a stainless shelf. Obviously a lot more expensive and meant waiting on it to arrive. Torture.
And after I took the photo of my first set up, I saw just how messed up and discolored the wall was.
What should have been about 3 hours of drilling holes and recognizing the shelf, turned into a full blown adventure.
Had to wash and repaint the wall, obviously.
Then I cut the shelf into two smaller pieces to go side by side, instead of crazy tall. The shelf had deep stains and faded/chipped paint, all kinds of nasty.
So that got painted as well.
Finally I could put it all up on the wall.
Still waiting on a couple things, and I have no idea what connectors I need for the pressure hose reel...wasn't expecting that. But overall pretty happy with the result.

Finally made my purchase on the rag company. How did I do?
Edit: going to cancel this order, drop some towels and change some things.. Mainly wanted to grab rinseless wash and some wash media/drying towels. I almost bought the $130 IK battery foam sprayer for my pre wash, etc.. but went with the $40 multi 360 sprayer. Should I have gotten the Foam 2 sprayer instead of multi pro 2 360? I hope that’s good enough for now, I’ll get a battery bike pump to use for it. Might get a pressure washer/foam cannon eventually. I have a hose.
ONR gallon/32 oz sold out right before I placed the order, so I went with 8 oz. Couldn’t decide between the Guantlet or liquid8r m22 so grabbed both lol.
I forgot to grab an iron remover/decontamination, but hopefully frostbite can help with that? I already have Meguiars tire cleaner and tire brushes, as well as gold class shampoo. Will switch to CarPro reset soon.
Does this look good? Anything else I should have grabbed from the rag company? I’m new to all of this. Have been using the self service pressure washer bays but want to start doing regular contact washes and rinseless washed by myself.
2021 Toyota Avalon hybrid limited. May get a paint correction and ceramic coat soon.
