This workshop provides information for Alexander Technique Teachers and Somatic Practitioners to understand the full spectrum of hypermobility including Ehlers Danlos Syndromes (EDS). We will learn to work with those living with hypermobility and present concepts and a vocabulary that guides the student toward self agency.⁠

This two-class series will explore the mechanics of everyday household activities. The key to decreasing long-term wear and tear of the body is expansive awareness in moments that seem to be commonplace. Participants will experiment with reliable strategies inspired by the Alexander Technique in hopes of employing better physical use in daily tasks.

This class will meet online via Zoom on 9/23 & 9/30 from 6-7pm ET.

This workshop will provide an in-depth understanding of the functioning of our hips as well as strategies for movement and coordination that promote recovery and ease. You will learn about overall hip health and how to prevent, manage, and recover from various hip ailments. You will benefit from a new understanding of how you sit, stand, walk, and move! Please bring your own interests and concerns about your hips to this workshop. This workshop is led by Ann Rodiger, Alexander Technique teacher and author of Mind & Mend Your Hips.

This workshop is for you if you are curious to learn about hip health, or if you are experiencing hip mobility issues. This is also for those experiencing hip pain or considering hip surgery. This workshop can also be helpful for those planning or recovering from hip surgery.

This 2-class series, for those with Hypermobility & EDS, will guide students towards improved proprioception, coordination, and help find a better relationship to gravity. By exploring these strategies one can find better overall balance enabling you to negotiate your daily activities with more ease and less pain. This class series will take place online via Zoom and in person at the Balance Arts Center in NYC.⁠

The Alexander Technique Principles for Performing Arts Certification provides you with an overview and survey of the AT principles, application of these principles to your specific art form, and the ability to recognize and communicate the principles as they apply to your learning and teaching situations. ⁠

🩰 Join us in Philadelphia for Research in Motion: Alexander Technique Workshop, October 17th-18th! 🩰

This two-day workshop brings the principles of the Alexander Technique to dancers and movement educators at every stage of their careers. The morning masterclass introduces the AT principles and puts them directly to work in the dancing body. The afternoon is yours to shape: continue in a dance class taught through an Alexander lens, or turn your attention to your teaching alongside a master teacher.

Whether you are refining your own movement, recovering your ease after injury, or looking for language that helps your students find their own coordination, you will leave with tools you can use in class, in rehearsal, and in performance.

⚡This workshop will take place from 10am-4pm at Pig Iron Studios in Philadelphia, PA. ⚡

Full Two-Day Workshop: $200

Morning Masterclass Only: $80
