I’m the QUEEN of turning weaknesses into strengths. Once upon a time I hated public speaking. The nerves and anxiety were CRAZY. But although I hated it, I wanted it to be something I could do. I envied those people who felt comfortable on the stage. So what I did, I worked on it. Every opportunity I got to speak, I spoke. When I was in college I even joined this club to force myself into presenting in front of strangers. I’ve had to put in a lot of WORK!! In the midst of that, it slowly became my passion. I can’t wait to really, really MASTER it!!

Today, I was the keynote speaker for a graduation, which officially marks the start to my speaking career. I can’t wait to see what else awaits for me and the bigger platforms I’m working to be on.

In the first session they urged the freshmen to begin taking their schoolwork serious early on. They encouraged them to study to understand because many of these subjects they will see again in college, especially those who wish to go into the health careers.
In the second session seniors got a glimpse of college. They were also introduced to Greek life.

I should have done this a long time ago. But, Good Afternoon! My name is Jennifer Romeo. I was created to do something greater than myself. I was 18 years old, in April 2015, when I found WeRYou. Initially, I didn’t know where I was going with it, but I was determined to take the first step. Four years later, here I am. I’ve endured a variety of trauma in my life. However, although they wounded me, I don’t regret them, neither do I want sympathy. They have molded me to be a person for others and to achieve everything God has placed in my heart. I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me thus far in this journey. My sole purpose is to transform people’s lives using
a holistic approach. Although I target other age groups too, focuses more on the youth. I’ve executed events at summer programs, hospitals, and now, schools. At the moment, I have a project that targets education. The education system is broken in NYC, which is where I am currently focusing my efforts. It is FAILING the students. My goal is to help improve it, so we can have more successful youth, especially those coming from underserved populations. This year, I will be working with my second school. I will be initiating other projects, but this is the focus right now. I appreciate everyone’s support in advance. With God and your help, I’ll transform people’s lives, and thereby develop a more promising future for them. I will be posting more often, but mostly on Thank You! Have a Good Friday!!
