So far 2026 has been my year of teaching! I’ve grown from simply sharing facts to naturally presenting with my passion for Italian wine, language and culture.
A few of my recent seminars:
Wines of Sicily
Italian Chocolate (with a fun volcano theme, trust me on this one)
Wines of Tuscany
Italian for Wine Lovers: How to speak about wine in Italian
Vino e Pane: Italian Wine at the Bakery
Plus dozens and dozens of private and small group classes!

Buongiorno Roma! 🇮🇹 I always start my Italian vacation with a cappuccino e cornetto integrale al miele.

I had so much fun making rum babà! After watching a few cooking videos, searching the for perfect recipe and figuring out which baking mold to use, the process was fun and the result was delicious!

La colomba di Pasqua: a panettone-like Easter cake shaped like a dove. It’s a bit more dense than panettone and coated with almonds and sugar. Ubiquitous throughout Italy every spring, La colomba is a tasty addition to your Easter weekend!

The Ides of March is today! Just a few months ago in Rome, the archeological site Largo di Torre Argentina opened a major developmental project (sponsored by luxury jeweler Bulgari) where you can descend 20 feet below street level and explore the ancient site known for Julius Caesar’s assassination. Did I make you think about the Roman Empire?
Oh, and don’t forget to check out the cat sanctuary on the west side of the site.

Happy International Women’s Day! Italian singer Mina Mazzini sent shockwaves when she was the first to wear a miniskirt on Italian TV in 1967. She is quoted saying that wearing a miniskirt made her happy. As someone pretty much only wears miniskirts, I am thankful for her nonconformity and pursuit to wear what feels good.

Venite tutti! Come to my Wines of Tuscany class on Saturday, March 30th at 6:30 We’re going to skip the big names and taste what the Tuscans are drinking. I’m brining some of my favorite treats from Italy to snack on during the class and learn some vino vocabulary!
