Tiger Mom NYC

We also guide families through the Hunter College Elementary School (HCES) Admissions process. Unlike other test preparation / consulting services that cater to hundreds of students, Tiger Mom NYC works with a selected number of families each year and tailors our services to each child's strengths and overall test taking profile. We have been successful in preparing students for the Stanford-Binet V test. Notably, in 2016, one of our students scored in excess of 15 points above the cut-off score for Hunter College Elementary School, or one of the highest possible scores for Round 1 of HCES. We also have seen strong results with the Gifted and Talented (G&T) test, with the majority of our students qualifying for G&T programs in 2016. Some test preparation services cater to hundreds of students and share the same set of information with each of those students - possibly diminishing the competitive advantage for many within that group. Given our goal of maximizing performance on the entrance exams, we work with just a selected number of families each year to reinforce the core skill sets and test taking strategies for each of our students.
