Never again is now.

Standing in Auschwitz with a delegation of university presidents who have travelled with me to Poland to bear witness to the N**i atrocities against the Jews during the holocaust. As antisemitism spreads across the world and college campuses, never again is now.

On Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million jewish lives that were murdered by the N**i's. This year we also honor the 1,139 victims of Oct 7 and the 132 hostages still in Gaza.

We will never forget. Am Yisrael Chai

Following a competitive national search, Yeshiva University has appointed Rebecca Cypess, PhD, the new dean of Yeshiva College and Stern College for Women. She has a winning personality that will fit right into the culture of YU.”

Today, YU President Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman met with The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Prime Minister and Dr. Berman discussed at length ways to fight the wave of antisemitism on US college campuses. The Prime Minister praised Dr. Berman's initiative for US university heads to participate in the March of the Living in Poland as part of this fight.

They also discussed the scandalous possibility that the international court in The Hague will issue arrest warrants against the leaders of the state and IDF commanders, as well as Israel's just fight against Hamas.

Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and the Prime Minister's Advisor on Diaspora Affairs, Rena Riger, also attended the meeting.

When Jewish university students are intimidated, harassed, and targeted, preventing them from pursuing their studies and activities outside of class, it's time to take action.

That’s why we are implementing an Accelerated Transfer Program to enable qualified students to join the YU family and experience a world class education in a safe and welcoming environment.

Yeshiva University graduates are offered positions at top-tier companies, are accepted to leading graduate schools and benefit from life-long friendships with fellow alumni.

“As the Jewish people as a whole and Israel in particular address the challenges of today, I have complete confidence that we will ultimately emerge victorious. With the lessons of Passover to guide us, we will ward off our enemies, cultivate new friends and remain true to our mission. Most of all, we will transmit this message of hope and promise to our next generations.” -Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman

Professor of Chemistry at Stern College - Dr. Anderson Oliveira’s research consists of expressing and characterizing new classes of photoproteins—recently isolated by his research team from deep-sea luminous invertebrates, such as corals and squids. The new groups of photoproteins found in some of these organisms are the first wild-type photoproteins able to emit green light upon calcium addition, which presents higher detection sensitivity of calcium-dependent biological processes.

Mia Schem embarked upon a warrior-level circuit across the U.S. to some of the greatest power centers in the country seeking to advocate for and vindicate the hostages remaining in Gaza.

The Schem family drew the largest crowd in YU’s Stern College history. On March 12, more than 700 people turned out to hear Keren Scharf Schem, Mia’s mother, and Ilay Schem, Mia’s brother, speak about Mia’s story of survival in Gaza and her efforts to advocate for freeing the remainder of the hostages held by Hamas. The family was welcomed by Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, president of Yeshiva University; Rabbi Shay Schachter, Judaic Studies professor at YU; and Shoshana Schechter, Associate Dean of Stern College for Women.
