Mazel tov to Charlie! It has been the absolute joy of a lifetime being your Morah for the past ten years and watching you grow from a curious, kind little learner into a thoughtful, grounded, and determined young man. From our early days of songs, games, and holidays to deeper conversations and meaningful moments, your quiet confidence, empathy, and love of learning have always shone through.

From the Torah portion you read, Parshat Vayeshev, we learn about leading with resilience, empathy, and inner strength—qualities you embody so naturally.

So proud of you, Charlie. The world is lucky to have you.

What a week of Chanukah it has been! From dreidel playing and candle lighting to hands-on latke making, our students embraced every moment with joy, curiosity, and so much celebration!

Ali, you worked so hard. Week after week, you showed up with focus, courage, and determination—taking on a new language and an ancient text without fear or hesitation. In just a few short weeks, you went from feeling unfamiliar with the aleph bet to confidently reading Torah that would challenge even experienced Hebrew readers.

One of your greatest strengths is your self-awareness and maturity: you recognized when something felt hard, spoke up about what you needed, and made a plan to push through. That is a skill that will carry you far beyond this moment.

Through your dedication, you’ve gained tools that will help you continue to shape your relationship with Judaism in a way that feels meaningful, joyful, and authentic to you. We hope you are feeling incredibly proud—because you truly should be.

With your passion and determination, there is no doubt you will excel at anything you set your mind to.

Our students are counting down until Chanukah begins this Sunday!
These past two weeks we explored the miracle of the oil, created our own menorahs, and talked about bringing light into the world. ✨🕎
Let the celebration begin! Shabbat Shalom

Mazel Tov Charlie
From three years old to today, it has been the greatest joy watching you grow into a kind, thoughtful, and proud young Jew. From floor-time holiday songs and art projects, to Zoom learning during Covid, to the way you led your family Seders with such confidence — your spirit never wavered.

Nothing more special than sharing your bar mitzvah with your dad Scott — who put in the work to become bar mitzvah on the very same day as you. He saw your pride, your effort, and your commitment, and wanted to walk that journey beside you. Given the Hebrew name Avraham, the patriarch known for leading his community with strength and generosity, stepped into this moment with that same spirit.

Charlie, you lead with heart, curiosity, and courage. Watching you step into Jewish adulthood has been an honor. So proud of you!

Mazal Tov Max and Lyla on becoming B’nai Mitzvah in Israel! 🇮🇱

After two years of dedication, learning, questioning, and growth, you reached this moment with strength, heart, and incredible maturity.

Max, you approached your studies with depth and curiosity — always asking thoughtful questions and searching for meaning. You connected to your Torah portion, Toldot, in such a personal way, exploring what it means to be a twin while also discovering your own voice and identity. You are optimistic, determined, and reflective, and you showed that when you set your mind to something, you accomplish it with confidence and grace.

Lyla, you brought creativity, compassion, and perseverance into every step of your learning. You too engaged deeply with the story of Jacob and Esau, embracing the beauty of being connected to Max while also standing strong as your own brilliant self. You learn with heart, you lead with kindness, and you shine in ways that are uniquely yours.

We have watched you grow together while also growing individually — supporting one another, challenging one another, and lifting each other up.

We cannot wait to see where your journeys lead next.

Zach, from the moment you joined my class at nine years old, your thoughtfulness and curiosity stood out. You’ve always asked the big questions — about God, Judaism, and the world — and it’s been inspiring to watch you grow into a young man who leads with both intellect and compassion.
During your Bar Mitzvah studies, you approached every challenge with patience and heart. Even after October 7th, when so many were struggling to make sense of the world, you showed such empathy — reaching out to Israeli soldiers to say thank you and expressing how proud you are to be Jewish.

Zach, you truly embody that strength. May your journey ahead be filled with learning, kindness, and meaning. Mazel tov on this incredible milestone — we are all so proud of you .

Mazel tov Lexie!

From the very beginning of your bat mitzvah journey, you’ve shown what it means to be truly unstoppable. Every Hebrew prayer you learned, every thoughtful question you asked, and every moment you brought your heart and creativity into this process has been such an inspiration.

You didn’t just study — you owned this journey. From mastering every prayer to composing your own version of Adon Olam (yes, to the tune of “Popular” — pure Lexie genius!), you’ve shown such passion, curiosity, and love for your Jewish heritage.

Your d’var Torah on civil disobedience reflected your deep sense of justice and compassion — a reminder of the light and courage you bring into the world.

Keep shining, keep questioning, and keep bringing your beautiful energy into all that you do.

Mazel tov, Lexie — we are so proud of you!

Anna, it has been such a joy watching you shine throughout your bat mitzvah journey! From the very start, your excitement for Hebrew school made every lesson so much fun. You were always curious and eager to make connections between what you were learning, and your enthusiasm made everything come alive.

When it came time to prepare for your bat mitzvah, you jumped right in with incredible dedication. You picked up your Torah portion so quickly — and even took on all four of your readings! We loved seeing how proud you were as you sang your Torah and prayers with such confidence and joy.

We’re also so proud of how you embraced your mitzvah project with — you didn’t just do it, you lived it, and inspired others along the way. Your kindness, passion, and commitment truly shine. .ginsburg Mazel tov, Anna!

Mazel Tov, Kaya!

On this Mazel Tov Monday, we’re sending a huge shoutout your way!

Kaya, it’s been so inspiring to watch your journey — the thoughtfulness, dedication, and heart you’ve brought to this process has truly shined through.

In under a year, you took on the challenge of learning Hebrew and mastering your prayers — even practicing between sessions so you could feel proud of what you accomplished. And it showed on the big day!

As you become a Bat Mitzvah, we know you’ll carry your Judaism forward with strength, joy, and pride.

We’re so proud of you. Mazal tov!
