Parenting comes with a lot of joy, but it also comes with some really tough conversations. If you’ve ever struggled to find the right words when talking to your kids about difficult topics, you are not alone. ❤️

Please join our Title 1 Committee and Intentional Healing & Wellness for an interactive workshop designed just for parents: Courageous Conversations: How to Communicate With Your Kids About Hard Things.

Led by Andrea Mancuso, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, this workshop will give you practical tools and guidance to navigate those heavy moments with confidence and connection.

🌊 Summer Water Safety Tips for Our IS 72 Families! 🌊

As the weather warms up and beach season kicks off, we want to make sure all of our IS 72 students and families stay safe around the water this summer. ☀️

The NYC Lifeguard & Aquatics Taskforce shared these four essential tips to keep in mind before you head to the pool or beach:

🧑‍⚕️ Only swim when a lifeguard is on duty. Never take a chance in unsupervised waters.

🫂 Keep kids within arm's reach. Caregivers, stay close when your little ones are in or near the water.

🌊 Know how to handle a rip current. If you get caught, stay calm and swim parallel to the shore to escape it. Do not try to swim directly back against the current.

💬 Ask a pro. Always check with a lifeguard about current water conditions before diving in.

Let’s look out for one another and ensure it’s a fun, safe summer for everyone!

Bulldog Brew was on the move!

We are so proud that our Bulldog Brew program was invited to serve at the District 31 Elementary School Mathematics Competition. This was such a meaningful experience for our students, giving them the opportunity to showcase their hard work, professionalism, and pride beyond our school building.

We could not be happier with the results and the way our students represented our school community.

We had an incredible time celebrating all the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of our amazing student-athletes at the IS 72 Sports Team Awards Banquet at the Nansen Lodge. From regular season grinds to championship moments, these kids gave it their all this year.
