Over the past week our students celebrated Earth Day through hands-on activities both outside and in the classroom. They went on nature walks, collected materials they found outdoors, and spent time potting plants.
Back inside they used what they found to create a collaborative Earth Day poster. On each leaf they shared ways we can all take care of our planet like picking up trash or riding a bike.
It was a great week of learning and working together. It also gave students time to think about how everyday actions can make a positive impact 🌎

For Black History Mon,th our Lower School learned about Garrett Morgan, the inventor of the traffic light then brought his innovation to life. Students created their own traffic light and played a game of red light, green light, taking turns as the leader and learning when to stop, slow down, and go. A hands on way to connect history, movement, and learning 🚦
