Beginning in April 2014, the NEST Radio and Space Observatory (NRSO) is a brand new initiative at NEST+m as a dedicated research place for students to learn observe and collaborate in order to better understand the radio astronomy field. Slowing starting up, we'll be up and running very soon and making further progress in the name of radio astronomy!
Soon to be released is an official report of all logistics, goals and partnerships later this year in 2015.
What about the idea of a self-searching, radio-controlled or autonomous robot with a several mounted and pivotable technologies including a radio telescope dish?
Insides include a microcontroller, control system, swivel mounts, tens of mechanical gears and high powered battery packs. This would certainly be very versatile for most sensor and receiving equipment. What are your thoughts?

We've been up for 2 months, officially started a month ago... and we've done a seminar, event, publication, built the entire observatory and taught 155 students in classes... ~ Miracles of Hard work! Thinking of Joining yet? Probably right?
