Learn data science skills while working in a team throughout the semester to create a project showcasing your analytics skills while receiving mentorship from professionals at IBM, Spotify, and Flatiron Health. WAVE matches young women interested in learning about tech careers, with A+ Advisors from companies like Twitter, Squarespace, Amazon, and more based on experience and interests.
Each pair meets once a month for one hour at the Advisor’s office over a span of three months. Each Advisor and Advisee commits to a year in the program, rotating to a new Advisor or Advisee every 3 months (with a few breaks throughout). WAVE cycles run Feb-Apr, May-July, and Sept-Oct-Nov.
You’ll learn about your Advisor’s personal experiences— they’ll share the good, the bad, and the awesome across a broad range of professional topics, like developing a product, understanding a target audience, building business models behind tech (aka $$$$), plus more, all to help you become a rockstar.
