At Academy of St. Dorothy, we celebrate our students who represent our values each month. At our last day of school assembly, these students received their certificates for their embodiment of the following values:

On the last day of school, Academy of St. Dorothy awards one boy and one girl in grades 1-3 the Effort Award for outstanding effort throughout the school year and the Principal’s Award to students in grades 4-7 for outstanding academic achievement.

Congratulations to these students who truly put forth an incredible effort all year long!

ASD Family Night at the FerryHawks was a blast! Thank you to all who came out to celebrate our last week of the 2025-2026 school year. Field Day today and the last day of school tomorrow!

Congratulations to 4th grader Daniel Simone on being selected as Academy of St. Dorothy’s Super Reader during the annual Readers are Leaders challenge. Danny read 14 books during the 5 week program and received an award from Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella tonight.

Our entire 4th grade class visited Borough Hall this week as well, and were awarded their completion certificates. We are proud to share that once again 100 percent of our students completed the program!

Our used book sale is always a hit with our students! It’s a day where $20 can get you 20 books and open new pathways. More than 800 pre-loved books went home with our kids this week. We hope it inspires a summer of exploring new stories. ❤️📚

Our 8th Graders joined together with their fellow Staten Island Catholic School soon-to-be graduates for a special mass of celebration and gratitude. The students honored their teachers, parents and school as they prepare to graduate.

👏🎶 Bravo to our Academy of St. Dorothy musicians on a wonderful recital last week! We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and growth they demonstrated throughout the year. Whether it was their very first year learning an instrument or they took the opportunity to build on skills developed in previous years, every performance reflected their commitment and progress.

A special thank you to Paul Effman Music for another fantastic year of providing this enriching after-school program and helping our students discover and develop their musical talents. We can’t wait to see what next year brings! 🎵✨
