Valiant Scribe Literary Journal's call for submissions is now open! We accept submissions of fiction, poetry, essays, nonfiction, and artwork that intentionally engage with Christian perspectives while thoughtfully exploring social issues and the human condition.

There is a $5 reading fee per submission. Accepted submissions will be published on the Valiant Scribe website on a rolling basis. Unsuccessful submissions will receive editorial feedback.

2025 Update

As 2025 comes to an end, Valiant Scribe reflects on a year of faith in action. While our literary journal has been on hiatus, our philanthropic arm continued to make a difference, supporting a secondary school student in Nigeria through our scholarship program and contributing toward the Ufahari Girls residence in Uganda, a safe haven for girls in high-risk situations.

​We also invite you to read our founder Debra Ayis’s inspiring testimony, about perseverance through conflict, loss, displacement and the sustaining power of faith in seasons of uncertainty “Faith That Endures: My Journey with Christ,” published in the Heart of Flesh Literary Journal.

The journal will return in 2026 with new stories and renewed purpose. You can now donate directly through our website to support our ongoing work.
