To desensitize and overlook the intrinsic bond we have with our natural world is devastating - as the climate and biodiversity crises clearly show.
But we can cultivate and remember these bonds with a small bit of effort - that’s the good news. Awareness leads to mobilization and healing.

What a beautiful moon, day... Lets go!!

The Fires of Beltane on a full moon! Lucky for all.
Like most Celtic festivals, the key to the celebration lies with fire.
Fire was held to have purifying qualities, it cleansed and revitalised both the land and the people. So, on the first of May, the night of Beltane or the night before, Druids and Priestesses kindled fires in sacred places using nine different types of wood.
In today's modern times using colourful candles to jump over during the purification time will suffice.
We jump to be freed of hindrances over the flames and landing our Maypole wishes on the other side! Laugh, dance and rejoice! We wear crowns of beautiful flowers to entice nature to join us.
We wear dark blue (night sky), reds (passion and desire), yellow (the sun), green (the land).
We drink honey mead, white sweet wines, and eat strawberries or grapes with cream over scones.
We sing songs of times gone by and of those to come. We invite the nature kingdom and don't swat at bugs!
It's a lush time in every way 😉
Happy Beltane. May all your woven Maypole wishes come true!
