Autumnal Equinox is connected to harvesting, and symbolically represents gratitude, balance, and preparation for the dark half of the year

Remember to Make a gratitude list.

It is important to recall all the things you're thankful for, all the people, and all situations and your own achievements. Anything that you would symbolically take with you into the new season

Cook with seasonal ingredients:
Pumpkins
Gourds
Mushrooms
Nuts, dried fruit
Apples
Corn
Grains, bread
Pomegranate

Think of these as small edible foods as Manifesting Abundance and Acceptance of Change.

Symbols: pumpkins, autumn leaves, pinecones, hazelnuts, pomegranates, twigs, balance scales

Colors: golden, brown, orange (harvest, gratitude); black and white (balance of light and darkness), autumnal colors. Wear 'em too.

Perhaps you could gather visual representation of your achievements and gratitudes to put on each light and dark alter.

Light it up, be merry and remember the most important person in your space is YOU. Dance!

AUTUMN EQUINOX CELEBRATION
Needs in the content!

Perhaps you could create two protected areas:

A very bright day altar or ceremonial space where the sun is beaming brightly on it during the day! Have squash or pumpkins available perhaps carved out into funny faces that can hold a lit tea light for the night! ALL COLORS OF APPLES day and night! 😁
And a very beautiful night altar where no lights fall upon it (or very little) close by decorated with dried leaves, pinecones, apples, acorns, and nuts! More offerings of gratitude. Don't forget the apples!

YUMMIES: Having dried pumpkin seeds, nuts and berries to eat as you pass by during the day; giving thanks for the nourishment they offer us! Write ✍🏻 down what you are grateful for while munching. Don't forget seasonal teas or water to drink. Doing the same gratitude writing at nightfall.

For this upcoming Autumn Equinox I suggest we remember that at this time we honor the light and the dark, it's a 'balance' time. Equal light to equal dark. The celts call it Mabon.
