Sandy Wilbur Music More info at sandywilbur.com These songs are not easy, short little pieces. They don’t “talk down” or “sing down” to kids.

"Sandy Wilbur Music" is the creative page (composer/producer/writer) for Sandy Wilbur where you can see songs/videos, books, albums, and other creative projects including "Learning History Through Music" for grades K-8. About "Learning History Through Music:" "I have tried to create exciting music that kids would love to sing while at the same time, teaching them about important moments in our history and important concepts of our American culture and democracy. Rather, they are contemporary and sophisticated. Nevertheless, with “We The People,” we learned that children as young as four were not only learning the song but the rap as well! We heard from teachers that the kids loved the song and from students that they begged their teachers to play or perform it. This has truly been a labor of love and I have insisted on the highest quality while at the same time providing teaching materials at the lowest possible cost so that teachers could afford them even when their budgets don’t allow, and kids could learn the songs – and their important messages - for free online."

IT"S BEEN A LONG WHILE SINCE I POSTED BUT.......
I have just released my song “WE THE PEOPLE,” which sings the Preamble to the Constitution, to streaming platforms, to celebrate almost 250 years of the birth of our nation. As part of my “LEARNING HISTORY THROUGH MUSIC” program, WE THE PEOPLE has been performed nationwide. At a time when our democracy faces unprecedented challenges, this song is both a celebration and a call to action. We need to cherish, protect, maintain, and strengthen the political institutions that keep our democracy alive.
Please listen, follow, and share to spread the word!
“WE THE PEOPLE” is streaming on all major music platforms:

I believe the things you loved and gave you joy as a small child can inspire you your whole life. I loved stories and nature and the living creatures from bugs to snakes to bunnies to horses that I found both in nature and depicted in stories. Our many family car trips were a time for each member of the family to create the next sentence in a made-up story. When I saw Kim’s charming and whimsical animal depictions and scenes in one of her murals, I immediately wanted to create a story about them.
