This September 11th, our students began the morning gathered in prayer and reflection during a special prayer service. We then came together for our Back to School Mass, where our school community honored the lives of all those who perished 25 years ago.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11th, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who showed extraordinary courage and selflessness.

May we never forget. May we continue to pray. And may we always carry their memory in our hearts. 🕯️🙏

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!

From September 15 through October 15, we celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities throughout the United States and around the world.

September 15 is especially meaningful as it marks the 205th independence anniversaries of Costa Rica 🇨🇷, El Salvador 🇸🇻, Guatemala 🇬🇹, Honduras 🇭🇳, and Nicaragua 🇳🇮, who declared independence from Spain in 1821.

Hispanic Heritage Month began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 and was expanded to a month-long celebration in 1988.

This month, we honor the stories, traditions, languages, and countless contributions that continue to enrich our communities. ❤️💛💙

25 Years Later, We Remember 🇺🇸

Today, September 11, marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We pause to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and keep in our prayers the families, first responders, and communities forever changed by that day.

Twenty-five years later, their stories and memories remain with us. May we continue to honor their legacy through kindness, unity, compassion, and courage.

IT’S ALMOST TIME, SFACA FAMILY!

The countdown is on, and we are so excited to welcome our students back to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy!

A brand-new school year means new beginnings, new friendships, new challenges, new goals, and countless opportunities to learn and grow.

Whether your child is returning to familiar classrooms or beginning a new chapter at SFACA, we are excited to have every member of our school community back together!

What a Great Day at SFACA!
Today was a wonderful day of community, fun, and connection at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy!
Some of our students had an amazing time enjoying the activities, games, and excitement throughout the event. We were also honored to have Governor Kathy Hochul and Senator Myrie join the community and help make the day so special.
Our SFACA staff was out in full force, sharing what makes our school such a special place! We handed out backpacks with supplies, puzzles, and information about SFACA to families who were interested in learning more about our school and what we have to offer.
It was beautiful seeing our staff, students, families, community leaders, and prospective families all come together. Days like today remind us that SFACA is more than a school—we are a community!
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make today such a success!
