Healthy children build stronger futures ✨
French American Aid for Children was thrilled to host our General Meeting last Wednesday and welcome the Spoons Across America team and Katherine Gage Boulud as our guest presenter.
We were inspired to hear about the incredible achievements made possible through the grant we allocated and the meaningful impact their programs are having on so many children and families.
Their work highlights the importance of educating children about nutrition from a young age, helping them become curious, knowledgeable, and engaged in their own nutritional journey.
Our Board Members and friends were eager to exchange ideas and learn more about the challenges children currently face regarding their long-term health and well-being. Empowering children with healthy habits and food education today will lead to a lifetime of better health 🥗🥄❤️
Thank you to Spoons Across America and Katherine Gage Boulud, for sharing your mission and inspiring all of us with the important work you do!

A meaningful moment for youths in the Franco-American community 🇫🇷🇺🇸
We were honored to attend the signing ceremony between our grantee Sport dans la Ville and Lycée Français de New York - a partnership rooted in youth empowerment ⚽️ 🌎
We were proud to witness the beginning of what promises to be an impactful collaboration 🙌
Congratulations!
French-American Aid for Children was delighted to attend an event organized by our grantee Sport dans la Ville as they prepare for Festival 26, co-organized with SCORES, which will bring together more than 400 young people from around the world in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It was a pleasure to witness the participants’ energy and enthusiasm and to exchange with the inspiring Philippe Oddou, founder and president of Sport dans la Ville, whose vision continues to create opportunities for youth through sport and mentorship.
We are proud to support initiatives that empower young people and build bridges across cultures.

A new year brings renewed hope and possibility. Thank you to our friends and supporters for standing with French American Aid for Children and helping us create brighter futures ✨
📍🏢💙French American Aid for Children was delighted to visit The Eliza, a newly opened mixed-use and affordable housing development co-developed by our grantee, , in Manhattan’s Inwood neighborhood. Opened in June 2024 , The Eliza is home to the new Inwood Branch of the NYPL and 174 deeply affordable apartments, all occupied by individuals and families selected through a carefully administered, need-based application process.
During our visit, we toured the building’s impressive community spaces, including Universal Pre-K classrooms and the Activities, Culture, and Training (ACTS) Center, which features a state-of-the-art STEM robotics lab, teaching kitchen, performance space, sensory room, and classrooms designed to support youth and families. We were also fortunate to enjoy lunch prepared through the on-site Teaching Kitchen 👩🍳, where young people gain hands-on culinary training and valuable work experience. We thank Jeremy Kohomban and Jamila Baucom for the warm welcome, informative tour, and for sharing their inspiring vision for integrated, community-centered affordable housing.
