Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and to honor the courage and resilience of those who responded in the face of tragedy. We continue to reflect on the power of community and care as we never forget.

🍂 Two weeks in and the semester is already in full swing!

This fall marks a special milestone for the Black Studies Department. For the first time since its reestablishment, the department is fully staffed, fully operational, and ready to take on the semester with renewed energy and purpose.

We are excited to continue this journey with our students as we explore history, culture, identity, and social change together. Whether you’re returning to familiar conversations or discovering Black Studies for the first time, we’re glad you’re here.
