- NYS DOH CACFP: Nutrition support for licensed family group daycare providers
- NYC DOE EARLYLEARN: Enrollment assistance for children 6 weeks to age 2; Extended Day/Extended Year
- NYC DOE 3K FOR: Enrollment assistance for children Age 3, School Day/School Year or Extended Day/Extended Year

📚🧷 WALK-IN WEDNESDAY HIGHLIGHTS
This week’s Walk-In Wednesday was all about helping families take those final steps toward getting their children set for learning. 💙

We supported families with enrollment paperwork and other key steps to secure an early education programs that best fits their needs. The QCCN team is diligently working on filling the few remaining seats in District 27, along with available options.

QCCN families are always welcome to come look at our available donations, and pick up diapers while supplies last. 🧷📦

For many families, enrollment can take a few steps, and we’re happy to help make the process a little easier. QCCN further promotes child and family wellness by providing screenings and Social Care Navigation. 💙

El «Miércoles sin cita previa» de esta semana se centró en ayudar a las familias a dar los últimos pasos para preparar a sus hijos para el aprendizaje. 💙

Hemos ayudado a las familias con los trámites de inscripción en los servicios de y otros pasos clave para garantizar que sus hijos accedan al programa de educación infantil que mejor se adapte a sus necesidades. El equipo de QCCN está trabajando con ahínco para cubrir las pocas plazas que quedan en el programa 2K del Distrito 27, así como las opciones disponibles en el programa 3K.

Las familias de QCCN siempre son bienvenidas a venir a ver nuestras donaciones disponibles y a recoger pañales hasta agotar existencias. 🧷📦

Para muchas familias, la inscripción puede implicar varios trámites, y estamos encantados de ayudar a que el proceso sea un poco más sencillo. QCCN promueve además el bienestar de los niños y las familias ofreciendo evaluaciones del programa WIC y orientación sobre los servicios sociales de Medicaid. 💙

Learning gets even more fun when you can move along with it! 💜

At Sugar Bear Day Care I in Jamaica, QCCN provider Mindy Y. Ayesh and assistant Shakira brought out colorful scarves for a playful music and movement activity.

As the song gave directions like up, down, and side to side, the children listened carefully and moved their scarves along with the words. 🎵🌈

Activities like this make following directions feel like a game while helping children practice listening skills, coordination, body awareness, and gross motor development.

We love seeing learning filled with movement, music, and plenty of fun! 💃✨

¡Aprender es aún más divertido cuando podemos movernos al ritmo de la música! 💜

En Sugar Bear Day Care I en Jamaica, la proveedora de QCCN Mindy Y. Ayesh y su asistente Shakira utilizaron pañuelos de colores para una divertida actividad de música y movimiento.

Mientras la canción daba indicaciones como arriba, abajo y de lado a lado, los niños escuchaban atentamente y movían sus pañuelos siguiendo las palabras. 🎵🌈

Este tipo de actividad convierte el seguir instrucciones en un juego mientras fortalece la atención, coordinación, conciencia corporal y motricidad gruesa.

🧸📚 BACK TO PLAY!
And just like that… the classrooms are full again. 🥹💙

At Fatima R. Valencia Family Daycare in Ozone Park, with QCCN provider Fatima Valencia, and Rasha’s Group Family DayCare, with provider Rasha Mohamed, the children spent their first day doing what they do best,-playing, exploring, learning, and getting comfortable in their classrooms. 🧩🚗

Little hands were busy with puzzles, toys, shapes, cars, and learning materials while children became reacquainted with their spaces and one another.

The first day doesn’t always have to be a big celebration. Sometimes it’s simply finding a favorite toy, sitting beside a new friend, exploring a new corner of the room, and realizing, “I think I like it here.” 🥹✨

We’re so happy to see our QCCN classrooms filled with curious little learners again.

Here’s to a year full of play, friendships, discoveries, and lots of growth! 🍎💙

Y así de rápido… ¡los salones volvieron a llenarse! 🥹💙

En Fatima R. Valencia Family Daycare en Ozone Park, con la proveedora de QCCN Fatima Valencia, y en Rasha’s Group Family DayCare, con la proveedora Rasha Mohamed, los niños pasaron su primer día haciendo lo que mejor saben hacer: jugar, explorar, aprender y sentirse cómodos en sus salones. 🧩🚗

Sus manitas estuvieron ocupadas con rompecabezas, juguetes, figuras, carritos y diferentes materiales mientras conocían nuevamente sus espacios y compartían con otros niños.

El primer día no siempre necesita una gran celebración. A veces se trata simplemente de encontrar un juguete favorito, sentarse junto a un nuevo amiguito, explorar un rincón del salón y comenzar a pensar: “Creo que me gusta estar aquí.” 🥹✨

¡Qué alegría volver a ver nuestros salones de QCCN llenos de pequeños curiosos!

Que este año venga lleno de juegos, amistades, descubrimientos y mucho crecimiento. 🍎💙

🌈🎒 WE’RE BACK!
The doors are decorated, the matching shirts are on, the classroom is full, and THE KIDDIE CASTLE DAYCARE is officially back together! 🥹🧡

QCCN provider Francisco Lozano Romero and his team in East Elmhurst gave their children such a warm welcome into the new school year, complete with a colorful entrance and one very special classroom family photo. 📚✨

There’s something so sweet about seeing everyone together again—the children, their teachers, familiar faces, and new little friends all beginning another year side by side. 🌈

A new school year means so many adventures ahead: new words to learn, artwork to create, songs to sing, friendships to build, and plenty of growing along the way. 💛

Welcome back, THE KIDDIE CASTLE DAYCARE! We can’t wait to see what this little crew gets up to this year. 🎉🍎

Look at these little first-day faces! 🥹💙

Our QCCN children at Coronitas Daycare in Corona, with provider Joaly Hemenegildo, and Hamilton Beach Group Family Daycare in Jamaica, with provider Yaquelin D. Feliz, officially kicked off a brand-new school year! 🍎📚

From special back-to-school pictures to first-day certificates, colorful decorations, and lots of proud smiles, both programs made sure their children had a first day worth remembering. 🎈✏️

Starting school is such a big little milestone. New routines, new things to learn, familiar friends to see again, and so many memories still waiting to be made. 💛

At Bright Rising Stars in Woodside, the children in QCCN provider Nasima Khatun’s program enjoyed a fun mix of summer-themed learning and play! 💙

From coloring summer pictures and creating handprint art to building with blocks, exploring dramatic play, and staying active outdoors, the children had many opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences.

They also practiced fine motor skills, creativity, social interaction, and imaginative thinking throughout the day. 🖐️🎨🧱🩺

These sweet moments show how everyday activities can support learning, friendship, and joyful discovery. 🌟

En Bright Rising Stars en Woodside, los niños del programa de la proveedora de QCCN Nasima Khatun disfrutaron una combinación muy linda de aprendizaje y juego con temática de verano. 💙

Our providers recently came together for the CACFP 2026 Conference: Beyond the Plate, planned by our incredible QCCN Health Team.

🥕 Providers participated in professional development and activities focused on , healthy meals, safety, farmers markets, fresh local foods, food pantries, and resources.

For QCCN, CACFP and WIC are part of the same bigger picture,-promoting healthy development, strengthening food security, and connecting to valuable supports.

🥕 Los proveedores participaron en actividades de desarrollo profesional centradas en la nutrición, las comidas saludables, la seguridad alimentaria, los mercados de agricultores, los alimentos frescos locales, los bancos de alimentos y los recursos comunitarios.
