This hydroponic tower is in the staff room of one of our sites and the staff LOVE the tower! They especially love the sound of water running. They even turn off the regular lights and just leave hydro/grow lights on and just relax there.. like a spa..
What do you like most about your tower garden?

The hens at Staten Island Promise started laying eggs! They only hatched last April 1st, and are now already adult hens. Time flies. I remember the day they hatched, so tiny, so sweet.
Thanks to the awesome team of staff and residents at they are well taken care off, with daily doses of love.
Today's harvest at the Hegeman community urban farm. Thank you neighborhood and Breaking Ground residents for coming out, bringing your stories and beautiful selves, and making this such a special place.

Rise Root Revolution tells a story of Black people, women, and LGBTQ+ folks reclaiming farming, addressing race, gender, entrenched inequality, and the food-related problems that have become pervasive in marginalized communities. But never before has a documentary relayed the history of how Black people were forced out of American farming. In many ways that loss of wealth-building opportunity froze Black people's financial mobility for decades. They film maker is proud to be documenting Karen Washington and her co-farmers' efforts to start their own farm, as they address these issues head on. Not only do these women aim to provide healthy food but they also speak to reforming bonds with the land and environment
