This Bible Institute is inter-denominational in scope, with programs and courses designed to meet the spiritual needs of all. Our Purpose is to seek to train men and women in the classroom through independent study, and their own learning laboratories for ministry. Our aim is to train proficient Pastors, Preachers, Missionaries, Christian School Teachers and Christian Workers. At Bronx Deliverance Bible Institute, we provide the privilege of studying the Bible at a setting that is fundamentally sound and Christ-centered. We have a qualified God-given faculty and staff, all of whom are personally interested in each student and their training. It is our desire that each student that graces these doors here at BDBI is desirous to know more of God and His will for their lives; and therefore, will make every effort to strive for excellence to accomplish that end. Bronx Deliverance Bible Institute established in 1979 by the founder of Bronx Pentecostal Deliverance Center, The Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jeremiah Jones. Isaiah Jones, the youngest of eight children, was born in Bolans Village, Antigua, West Indies on February 17, 1924. At a very young age, Rev. Jones recognized and answered the call of God on his life. His early years in the ministry originated in the Sunday School Department where he taught young people about his loving Savior and later evangelized in the community he lived. As he dedicated his time to the work of the Lord, in 1954, God sent to his side Dr. Aileen Jones and of this union, six children were born three daughters born in the West Indies and three sons born in the United States. In the early sixties, Rev. Jones migrated his wife and children to the United States. He later attended the New York Bible Institute in Newark, NJ where he was educated, trained and prepared for the ministry under the watchful eyes of his Pastor, the late great Apostle, Arturo Skinner. Jones received numerous awards, honors, and commendations for his acts of kindness, care and compassion for his fellow men. Of his many accomplishments, he received: an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree, the highly coveted Martin Luther King award for humanitarian contribution, citations from the State of New York,(for his contributions to the community and the state). Among his many contributions, he petitioned congress to pass a bill to allow immigrants to be granted amnesty in the US. This bill was passed. Jones peacefully departed this life on October 18, 2001 and the torch was passed on to his youngest son Bishop Elect, Rev. Dr. Clarence E. Jones, Senior Pastor of Bronx Pentecostal Deliverance Center – The International House of Praise and President of Bronx Deliverance Bible Institute. A hearty welcome is extended to all students who have seen the need for Christian training and desire to obtain an intimate knowledge of the Word of God. It is understood that students entering our doors have already submitted themselves to be disciplined by God’s Word. Included in this purpose, is a student’s total growth and development in preparation for a Christian Ministry.
