The UN Charter is clear: member countries shall refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state. They shall act in accordance with international law, and they shall settle international disputes peacefully.

The Charter remains humanity’s best hope for peace.

But it is only as strong as the commitment of UN member countries to uphold it.

Tunisia provides nearly 700 military and police officers to four United Nations Peacekeeping missions around the world.

They are serving for peace at great personal risk and under harsh conditions to help others. We thank them for their service and sacrifice.
