How much trash does one 3rd grade class generate? 🗑️

18 students at YBH Of Passaic explored this question as they began their CIJE STEAM Lower School (CSLS) module "Designing a Sustainable Future" 💚

The students were amazed at how much waste they generated and how long it took to sort it all 🕰️

They even imagined what would happen if every class emptied their trash into the hallway 😱

Onto the next lesson: brainstorming solutions to reduce waste💡

How do we prepare students for an ever-changing world? 🌎

Up to 85% of future jobs do not exist today.

But students can learn how to think, and adapt, by embracing and following their innate curiosity.

By focusing on hands-on STEAM learning, our students will be ready to embrace an exciting, fast-paced future.

North Shore Hebrew Academy's future ecologists 🌱 are building their own greenhouse prototypes this week!

The lesson is part of the CIJE STEAM Middle School (CSMS) curriculum, which is used in hundreds of Jewish day schools and yeshivot.

Check out these Hebrew Academy of Nassau County students who were eclipse-ready with CIJE glasses this past week 😎

CIJE helped Westchester Day School middle schoolers get ready for the total solar ☀️ eclipse with glasses to ensure safe viewing.

These were just some of 10,000 eclipse glasses distributed to schools in the CIJE network!

Our youngest robotics engineers went head-to-head today in the CIJE VEX lower school robotics tournament! 🎉 All the students and teams did a phenomenal job - we are so proud!

🤖 Gears were turning and sparks were flying at the CIJE VEX all-boys robotics league tournament!

We're so proud of their incredible talent and teamwork. Congrats to all the participants, and winning teams, for their hard work 🏆and innovative designs!
