A message from Chancellor Samuels: I was so humbled to welcome the 40th cohort of Teaching Fellows this past week!

It seems like just yesterday that I began the journey as a Teaching Fellow myself.

Over 1,200 Fellows will enter the classroom in September —helping to build safe, academically rigorous, and truly integrated schools.

We are so grateful for our Fellows and their commitment to our students, system, and city.

Teaching is a life-changing experience and I am so excited to cheer on our next class of educators.

Our staff is proudly cheering on the Knicks ahead of Game 4, wearing their best blue and orange outfits. 💙🧡

Last week, we broke ground at PS112 in the Bronx on a new soccer pitch—with more coming to schools in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

This will be a welcoming space where our kids can come after school, lace up their sneakers, and just play.

Every community deserves a place like this.
