Apply Now: Summer Teen Art Classes at MoMA!
In the Making is a free hands-on series of art classes for New York City high school students, ages 13–19. This summer, In the Making participants will explore the question: What is your oasis in the city? Through experimentation, discussion, and exploration of various art-making materials and processes (like drawing, photography, sculpture, performance, collage), participants will create their own space for shelter, joy, and community. Participants will take inspiration from the city, MoMA’s collection, and their own worlds as they envision their oasis.
In the Making participants will meet at MoMA three times a week for five weeks from July 11 to August 11, 2023. Attendance at every class is required. MoMA will provide all art materials, MetroCards for transportation to and from the Museum, snacks, and any other costs associated with participating.
To apply, you must complete the application and send in one letter of recommendation. Email [email protected] with any questions.
