Rabbi JJ Schacter came to speak to the sixth graders about Memorial Day. Rabbi Schacter is the co-founder of Operation Benjamin, an organization which locates Jewish personnel at American military cemeteries all over the world who were buried under crosses. Operation Benjamin works to correct these mistakes, providing comfort to the families of the fallen.

Our 5th graders had an unforgettable overnight at Berkshire Hills Eisenberg Camp, celebrating a year of learning, friendship, and the end of their Lower School journey!🛶⛺️💙

Harold Holzer, Director of the Roosevelt Policy Institute at Hunter College and recipient of a National Humanities Medal, is one of the world’s leading authors and scholars on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War Era. He came to Shefa to speak to a group of seventh graders about the New York City Draft Riots of 1863.
