Growth Rx: Watch Nightmare Before Christmas to See Why Your Life’s “Wrong” Turns Are Still The Right Ones
⚠️ Many people interpret the Nightmare Before Christmas as a cautionary tale – Jack Skellington feels an emptiness in his life, tries to steal Christmas to fill it, fails spectacularly, and ultimately ends up back where he started in the first place.
But what if seeing it that way is completely missing the point of his adventure?
💡 Sometimes we can’t know what’s right for us until we learn what’s not.
We’re taught to condemn our life’s divine detours as diversions, when really they’re life’s exact way of clarifying what we really want and who we really are.
In the end, Jack’s Christmas adventure leads him to realize that he truly belongs in Halloween Town and that the sense of connection he was craving can be found in his newfound perspective on his role as Pumpkin King and relationship with Sally – both of which were there all along.
Yes, Jack ended up in the same place, but not as the same version of himself. And that was the whole point.
🎃 For those of us who’ve felt that longing for something more, followed the breadcrumbs to explore, and been brave enough to risk spectacular failure — every “wrong” turn we’ve made has been leading us in the right direction all along.
