The Philosophy Department had a table at the Majors & Minors Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017. Profs. Mahon, Di Bello, and O'Neil attended the fair and talked to students who are thinking about majoring in Philosophy. They also attended the Leadership Social for Lehman alumni afterwards.

Prof. Kamilla Smith takes her Critical Reasoning class to The Frick Collection to consider appearance and reality in the context of works of art.

Simone Johnson ('17), Philosophy minor and Political Science major, will be taking the LSAT and applying to law schools this fall.

Meet the Graduates: Simone Johnson, Class of 2017; B.A., Political Science
Phi Sigma Alpha Honors. This is her : “This past semester has been a challenge because I’m taking six classes, but it’s doable. I think that’s an important part of Lehman, it will be difficult, but if you give it all you have, you can achieve what you set out to do. I’m ready to take the LSAT and apply to Law schools. There’s a great vibe on campus... a positive energy exists here. I’m going to miss my professors, especially Professor Duncker and Professor Bloom. They have a wealth of knowledge and while being humble, were always willing to share their knowledge.”

Philosophy major Jodell Ulerie ('17) will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall to do a Master's degree in Philosophy.

Meet the Graduates: Jodell Ulerie, Class of 2017; B.A., English, Philosophy;
SEEK; English Honors. This is his :
“Next fall, I will be attending Virginia Tech for its Master’s program in philosophy. My ultimate goal is to be a professor of philosophy. I really like school. I want to be here forever. The best thing to happen to me at Lehman is the SEEK program. My advisor Pedro Luna took me under his wing and introduced me to the SEEK family. I had to take a year off to take care of personal issues, and I wasn’t sure that I would return. But the English Chair Paula Loscocco and Pedro kept calling me and urging me to return. I’m so happy that I did. People here really cared about me and that means a lot to me.”
