Navratri Shakti Sadhana | नवरात्रि शक्ति साधना One of the most prominent Sadhana practices is the ritual of Kalash Sthapna. We worship Maa Durga in this form and perform tapas for nine days to reach higher states of consciousness. Here are a few things to remember for Kalash Sthapna Prior to Kalash Sthapna Cleanse and purify the place with Ganga Jal and make sure the temple is placed at your eye level. Keep the temple clean and maintain it at all times. Steps for Kalash Sthapna 1. Get a Kalash made of mud and tie a mauli around it. 2. Fill the water up till the brim and add coin, turmeric, clove, cardamom and coin in it. 3. Lastly, add flowers to it. 4. Place five mango leaves after adding Haldi and KumKum to it. 5. Place the Coconut with head up and tail down and drape a chunni around it 6. Place some rice and perform Kalash Sthapna on it 7. Place idols of Maa Kali, Maa Laxmi and Maa Saraswati or just of Maa Durga 8. Maintain the Akhand Jyoti at all times 9. Make sure the Kalash is placed in the north-east direction of the temple. Praying to Maa Durga: Invoke Maa Durga and request Her to accept your prayers and to residing into the Kalash for nine days. .
