We recognize that all human beings are endowed with unique talents and gifts, and we believe that the process of schooling should lead each student to the realization, development, and expression of his or her potential. We are a performance-based charter school created to serve the children of the Southeast Bronx while exploring the heritage of the many cultures represented in our neighborhood. We are an extended family of students, teachers, parents, and community members who promote the educational achievements of our children through a relentless focus on high academic standards for all. HTCS is designed to help students develop the skills to become leaders who read, think, write, and communicate at high levels. Our mission is to prepare our children for success throughout their college years and beyond.

Morning. Work! It’s day 1 of “Back to Schoo Prep”from what we hope was a great Spring Break! Today do something to make sure you’re ready for school on Monday. Our suggestion? Laundry! Make sure you have a few HTCS approved shirts and bottoms so you’re ready for the week. Then, get back to your enjoying your day.

Harriet Tubman Charter School will be pivoting to a remote learning day today. This decision was made early this morning, and we sincerely apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause for your family.
Students should log in to their scheduled classes and/or complete assignments as directed by their teachers. Additional information, including login details and expectations for the day, will be shared directly by classroom teachers.
