A nor’easter couldn’t keep our RamVets away. 🌧️💨🇺🇸

Despite the wind and rain, Fordham’s military-connected community showed up strong this morning for the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk NYC.

The annual event retraces the final footsteps of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel toward the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. Today, the 5K honors Siller, the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers and thousands of civilians who lost their lives that day, while supporting veterans, first responders and their families.

Proud of our RamVets for braving the weather, standing together and honoring their legacy. 🐏🇺🇸

From scholarships to mocktails and masterpieces, SVAF and OMVS brought the community together at Rose Hill! 🐏🎨

Twenty-two students joined us for a Scholarship-a-thon, followed by a mocktail Paint & Sip filled with creativity, conversation and community.

The fan favorites? 🍹 Virgin mojitos took the top spot, followed by virgin piña coladas!

And now the big question: Should we auction off some of these masterpieces to help support future events? 👀🎨

Connecting, learning and sharing stories in Tampa. 🇺🇸

The Fordham OMVS team is at the Military Influencer Conference, connecting with leaders, creators and advocates from across the military-connected community.

In the photo, Matt Butler and AJ Tiffany caught up with Nate Boyer, founder of MVP and former Soldier and NFL player, and Kyle Gunn of Task & Purpose.

Great conversations, new connections and plenty of ideas to bring back to Fordham and the military-connected students we serve.

As America's Got Talent prepares to crown its newest winner tonight, meet a Fordham student who knows what it takes to reach the final stage.

Before coming to Fordham University, Army veteran Tre Roldan performed with the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus, which reached the AGT finals in 2023.

But Tre’s biggest transition came after the performances ended and his military service drew to a close. At Fordham, he found a new community, a renewed sense of purpose, and an opportunity to help other military-connected students as vice president of Student Veterans of America at Fordham.

“Through OMVS and the Student Veterans of America, I stopped feeling like I had lost my squad — and started feeling like I had simply been assigned to a new one.”

Their names remain part of Fordham.

On the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, we remember the Fordham alumni and students whose lives were taken that day, along with all those we lost.

We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the service members who answered the call in the years that followed, and the military families who shared in their service and sacrifice.

For many in our veteran community, the legacy of Sept. 11 remains deeply personal.

Twenty-five years later, we will never forget. 🇺🇸

⚾ RamVets in the Bronx!

Fordham RamVets are at Yankee Stadium tonight as the Yankees take on the Red Sox.

SVAF leaders, returning students, and some of our newest military-connected students are taking in one of baseball’s biggest rivalries while connecting with their peers and building community beyond campus.

A great way to kick off the new academic year. Go Yankees! ⚾️

Good conversations, good food, and a lot to look forward to.

The OMVS team spent the day at Rose Hill talking about what’s working, where we can do better, and how we can continue showing up for the military-connected students we’re proud to serve.

We wrapped things up on Arthur Avenue, because some team meetings just deserve a proper Italian lunch. 🍝

We’re growing, our community is growing, and the future is looking bright. Here’s to the work ahead! 🐏🇺🇸
