Albert Whitted Airport recently buzzed with excitement and discovery during the second annual Aerospace Day! This event turned the vastness of space and the intricacies of air travel into an interactive learning playground for Tampa Bay’s youth.

This past weekend, Passage and the Southern Timing Foundation hosted the first Aerospace Day event at Jacksonville Executive Airport!

We lucked out with the weather, and over 50 students flew for the first time in a general aviation aircraft, thanks to Holladay Aviation and Jax Beach Aviation!

The students also heard from speakers like NASA Spacecraft Engineer Joan Melendez Misner, PASSAGE Pilot Lee Giat, and Eagle Aircraft Maintenance founder Tim Godwin.

One year ago today, the PASSAGE flight began! The Spirit of Science aircraft was sent off at our Run The Runway 5K in Fernandina Beach, FL.

From that day, the team spent two months traveling through 6 different countries. Hosting 30 STEM outreach events reaching over 20,000 people.
