The Dark Side Of Light

The Dark Side Of Light
When day becomes night
Angels take flight in my room
Crossed over an Equator
To the Land of Sooner or Later
Shields me from impending doom..
Affairs of the heart, impulsive false starts
Red flags rise neath a Full Moon
The Dark Side Of Light
Cuts deep like a knife
As a bandage comes off of a wound...

Beyond belief, halos abound
You stare deep into an Eye of a Storm..
The Dark Side Of Light
An unearthly sight
Delivers what's right, from what's wrong...

The Dark Side Of Light
From the beginning of time
In the Garden of Eden, it took place..
Adam bequeathed his love onto Eve.from Dusk till the night of the day..
Joined at the hip with a tragical grip. Bit into an apple of fate..
Came face to face with
The Dark Side Of Light
Temptation served cold on a plate....

As You Fade

Light streamin' in engulfing gray matter..
Colors returnin' as darkness dissipates..
Paradox lifted, unbound..it journeys home to it's birthplace
As You Fade..

Pages turned, recede into chapters..
As the Book of Love rests upon a weathered shelf..
The protagonists free, stripped of their costumes
Relieved of starring roles from the movie they made
As You Fade..

Once upon a time, the sound of two voices..
Longing and Lust, of memories so faint..
Sweet Forgiveness, has no rhyme nor reason
Finds a home afloat in time and space..
As You Fade...

CANVAS

Motionless, a bare Canvas hangs
Starkly against a Monolithic brick wall
Emotionless in content, with no colors or pulse..
Complacent, with no meaning at all..
It calls on a Muse, to profusely infuse
Pastels, Acrylics and Oils..

Imagination..Immersion
A Harmonic Convergence
Surrender..Transcendence
As a daydream unfolds
Swish of a brush, slight of a hand
Tick of a clock-out of time
Forms take shape, as the moments escape.
A Rorschached Canvas to define..

3D perception, mirrors reflection
The future collides with the past
Bold strokes of hope, that represent growth..Interpretive moments
Rush by in a flash..
Appear on a Canvas
A self imposed palette
A compass to set my course by
On a road less travelled, a quest for connection..
Funny, how the time flies by..
