Today is the day… yes, it’s Tuesday… Election Day, get out and exercise your right to vote and make your voice heard. As congressman Correa told us, they finally are listening to us, so make it count.

Last week SHPE-NYC and its student chapters participated at the first ever STEM College Fair held at the NY Hall of Science. We thank for allowing us a platform by which we were able to let the Hispanic community know that STEM is not only a career option but that you have the SHPE Familia available for you on campus. Our students shared their experience of their journey and our perspective as young STEM professionals seeking success. Remember

SHPE Career Day with Medidata

SHPE-NYC and the Medidata LOLA (Latinos Organized for Leading and Achieving) Employee Group invite you to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a Career Preparation and Networking event for college students and early career professionals.

Join us at the 3DS Medidata office in NYC for a panel discussion on the career journeys of LOLA BRG members in Technology and the Life Sciences industry. The panel will be followed by a networking event where you can connect with LOLA and learn more about career & internships opportunities at Medidata.

We look forward to strengthening our partnership to promote STEM in the Hispanic community.

PepsiCo does way more than just cola drink and chips, its R&D impacts many lives directly and indirectly and our SHPE community are involved in much of this R&D. We look forward to seeing PepsiCo at the upcoming National Conference in Anaheim in a few weeks!

Hola familia! The SHPE NYC National Convention Scholarship is now available! Please fill out the fGoogle form (link can be found in BIO) and be mindful of eligibility requirements below. Applications are due by
September 5th 11:59:59PM EST.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to apply for the SHPE NYC 2024 National Convention Scholarship, you must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
1) Be a University Student or an industry professional in the NYC local (NY/NJ state area)
2) Be an official SHPE member
3) Be able to attend the conference in its entirety
Travel Dates: October 30 - November 3, 2024 | Anaheim, California
Note: US Citizens and non citizens are eligible to apply
