SHPE-NYC Scholarship program!

The SHPE-NYC scholarship was founded in 2009 with the purpose of recognizing local students who are leading efforts to support the SHPE mission. The scholarship is funded through the generous support of our SHPE professionals, corporate sponsors and event attendees throughout the year.
The scholarship is split into two award categories with the goal of recognizing a wide range of SHPE students. Once your application has been submitted, our committee will determine which category is the best fit. In the past, exceptional students have received both awards!

The SHPE-NYC College Scholarship categories:
1) Community Outreach & Leadership - Recognizing students who are leading efforts to
promote the SHPE mission.
2) Academic Achievement - Recognizing SHPE students who have excelled academically.
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale and involved in efforts to promote the SHPE mission.

The scholarship application can be found in our bio.

The Commercial Experience Center in Manhattan is designed to meet the WELL Building Standard and to inspire and encourage clients and customers to expand the ways they think about lighting design.

At its core is the Lutron HXL approach, a broad philosophy of human centric lighting that deftly employs four elements of lighting design - natural light, quality light, connection to the outdoors, and adaptive and personalized control - to help people be, work, and feel their best. In addition, the center features a wide variety of Lutron solutions, including Ketra - dynamic smart lighting that mimics daylight indoors - Limelight smart exterior lighting control, Quantum lighting control and energy management system, and Vive wireless controls, to help clients and customers realize their visions.
