At College Recognition Day, our entire school community came together to celebrate the Class of 2026 and the colleges they will attend this fall. From first-generation college acceptances to commitments across the country, each announcement reflected years of hard work.

For our underclassmen, days like this help build a college-going culture where every student can see what is possible for their future.

Our Seniors took the spotlight at Magic of Cristo Rey!

From Izamar sharing her Cristo Rey story to the Class of 2026 announcing their college commitments one by one, the night was a celebration of the hard work, growth, and community that brought them to this moment. Thank you to Alicia and Jonathan, from the Class of 2022, for kicking off the event.

Congratulations to our Seniors on this next chapter, and thank you to everyone who continues to make these moments possible for our students.

Earlier this month, students had the chance to learn the art of cake decorating with during a hands-on workshop inspired by iconic 2000s Disney shows. Students brought plenty of creativity and personality to the event while picking up new skills along the way, and luckily, their hard work came with cake!

Thank you to Chef Brielle for sharing her talent and giving our students such a fun experience.

This week, the Cristo Rey New York community gathered for Ascension Mass, celebrated by Bishop Espaillat, as we reflected, prayed, and prepared to close out another school year together.

In his homily, Bishop Espaillat reminded us that we are called not only to think and believe, but to act through the way we serve and care for others each day.

Thank you to Bishop Espaillat for joining our community for such a special celebration, and for helping see off our seniors into their next steps!

A couple of weeks ago, our Sophomores stepped away from the busyness of everyday life and into a day centered on Beloved Community. Through prayer, laughter, conversations, and time spent with their Big Sibs, these soon-to-be juniors continued building their future here at Cristo Rey.

Our Senior Boys Retreats were a special chance for the Class of 2026 to reflect on their journey before the final stretch of senior year, while making even more unforgettable moments together.

This past Monday, our seniors joined more than 2,000 Catholic school students from across the Archdiocese of New York at the Archdiocesan Graduation Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. We are especially proud of Rosa ’26, who spoke at this special celebration of faith, community, and the Class of 2026!
