Eight people went to sleep in this quiet Iowa home.
By morning, none of them were alive—and more than 100 years later, the case remains unsolved.
On the night of June 9, 1912, the Moore family in Villisca, Iowa, returned home after attending a church program.
Two young sisters were staying with them that night.

Everything appeared normal.
But sometime during the night, something terrible happened inside the house.
By the following morning, all eight people in the home had died.
The investigation quickly became one of the most talked-about crimes in Iowa.
Investigators questioned suspects and pursued different theories, but the case never reached a final answer.
One suspect was tried twice and acquitted.

More than a century later, the Villisca murders remain officially unsolved.
The biggest mystery is simple:
Who entered the house that night—and why?
