Congratulations to my Voice and speech for Actors class. They were so much fun to work with. The changes in their voices were wonderful to see and HEAR! I’m proud to know them!

So I was the voice/text coach for “The Imaginary Invalid” which was NYU Grad Acting’s Second Year production this Spring. And who was at rehearsals but the multi-talented, and amazing Bill Irwin!! It was his adaptation of Moliere’s play that we were doing. To be in the same rehearsal room with this artist is to watch genius at work. And I do not use that word often.

Bill’s adaptation is clear, and modern but it keeps the essence of the original. In addition to using his script, he choreographed dances and guided the actors through many complicated physical actions. I wish I could describe what he did to Argan and the chair but alas, you had to see it!! I would say it was one of the best productions we have done.
