A special prayer meeting was held under the auspices of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, USA on Thursday, June 7th, 2023 at the Bhavan headquarter premises in Manhattan, New York. The meeting paid tribute to renowned business luminary, great philanthropist and inspiring patriot Shri Srichand Paramanand, Hinduja who passed away recently in London, UK.
Late S. P. Hinduja has played a pivotal role in encouraging and financially supporting the establishment of BVB, USA chapter in early 1980’s
As a great advocate for Indian culture and Vedic heritage, he supported many activities promoting the art, languages and literature of India in order to preserve them for future generations of the Indian diaspora and the world at large.
Mr. Yakub Matthew, director of BVB, Dr. Navin C. Mehta, Chairman of Bhavan USA, well known community leader and philanthropist, Padmashree Dr. H. R.Shah who is also CEO and Chairman of TV Asia , Swami Shree Radhanath Swami, leader of International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Mr. Kamal Dandona and Dr. Thomas Abraham, Head of GOPIO paid their emotional tributes to Shri S P Hinduja
They highlighted his success and accomplishments not only in business, but also lauded his philanthropy, patriotism, practice of vegetarian philosophy, successful and his role as the benevolent patriarch of Hinduja family and his love for family, children and friends.
Satya Hinduja, member of the Hinduja family, paid a soulful musical tribute to her uncle.
The prayer meeting was attended by more than 100 community leaders and family well wishers and was very well received on Zoom too.
The Bhavan will miss his support and guidance.
