Our talented Pre-K to 5th graders brought the house down with their incredible performances. Special shoutout to the amazing Ms. C and Ms. Elena for orchestrating this unforgettable musical celebration. Grazie mille to everyone who made this wonderful event possible! 🎭

Yesterday, YDMA students were surprised to have a special guest LA BEFANA visit their classrooms! They learned all about her and were given sweet treats at the end of her stay. We can’t wait to see her next year.

First, second and third grade students participated to a storytelling project curated by Piccoli Attori (Elena Sartor, Massimo Zordan & Valentina Rizzi for the Italian Children’s Library). They enjoyed acting out the story of Leo Lionni’s Pezzettino, and created their own personaggio (character) inspired by Pezzettino’s friends (Quello-che-corre = the One-who-runs; Quello-che-nuota = the One-who-swims; Quello felice = the Happy-One; Quello-che-cucina = the One-who-cooks; and many more!)

Welcome to YDMA’s brand-new music classroom! I’m thrilled to join the faculty as YDMA’s music teacher, and I look forward to bringing your students a music-filled year.

A little about me: I’m an opera singer with a bachelors and masters in music! Music brings me so much joy, and teaching has always felt like the perfect way to pass that joy on to others.

When your students step into the music classroom, they will be inspired to create, play, and explore! I’m looking forward to embarking on a new adventure with your musicians!

Yours in music-making,

Ms. C
