This Is Bimbia i was opportune to visit this place two weeks ago….

Bimbia is a historic coastal village located near Limbe in the Southwest Region of Cameroon, along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. It was originally inhabited by the Isubu people and later became one of the main sites in West Africa involved in the transatlantic slave trade.

The slave trade activities in Bimbia began in the late 18th century when European traders, particularly the British, established trading relationships with local chiefs. Enslaved Africans were captured from the interior regions and brought to Bimbia, where they were held in chains, locked in small holding cells, and later loaded onto ships bound for the Americas and the Caribbean.

Apart from slave trading, Bimbia also became a center for missionary work in the 19th century. British missionaries introduced Christianity, built schools, and began efforts to educate and convert the local population. Over time, as the slave trade declined and was eventually abolished, trade in palm oil and other goods became more prominent.

Today, Bimbia is preserved as a significant historical and cultural site. Visitors can see the ruins of slave dungeons, iron shackles, and pathways used to transport enslaved people. The site serves as a place of memory, honoring the lives lost and affected by the slave trade, and efforts are ongoing to have it recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

What are men and women looking for in the opposite s*x at different points in their lives? How do my life experiences impact how the opposite s*x perceives me over time and how I perceive them?
Thursday night, August 4th at 9pm, we will discuss the topic of what happens with love as we mature through life. This will be the last live I do on relationships for a while as we shift to race. But I will create videos/reels occasionally on relationships. I just won't be going live for that.
