At Hands On Studio you will be able to learn everything from textile and sculpture techniques to natural skin care, plant care and cooking secrets. This will be a place to foster growth and exploration in a myriad of ways, and we will also host lectures and discussions. Hosted in our Williamsburg studio, I will of course be teaching hand-dyeing, tie-dye and shibori classes, and I will also invite you in for studio play days. You will also meet some extraordinary people who are each leaders in the artist, designer and maker movement, each known as masters of their crafts. All of our instructors share a basic ethos and care about quality, material, precision, craft and beauty, and are excited to share their knowledge with you. The intimate setting and limited class sizes will foster a uniquely personal experience. This will be a place for both student and instructor to come together, get their hands dirty, develop new skills and techniques, explore possibilities, create beautiful objects and expand.
