Next Monday and Wednesday my organization, Música De Cámara, dedicated to the music, musicians and composers from South America and Spain, will present the Toomai String Quintet and Beatrice Söderberg (piano). First day of guitar ensemble class at Mannes Prep, students played solos for each other and got their ensemble parts. Looking forward to working with these talented young players.

Please come and hear great music from Latin America and Spain, presented by Música De Cámara, sung by the amazing mezzosoprano Anna Tonna with the exciting Instruments of the People (Francisco Roldán, guitar and Danny Mallon, percussion - both Mannes Prep Faculty) at the Advent Lutheran Church, Broadway and 93rd Street, NYC, this Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 pm. Music from Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Spain.

At 1 pm, on the same day, there will be a street naming ceremony at 102nd Street and Fifth Avenue for our revered and esteemed founder, Eva De La O. All are welcome!
