Congratulations to the winners of our Accelerated Readers Program Raffle! While we are happy for the boys who won their prizes, we are immensely proud of every boys' desire to read even without the Accelerated Readers Program (where every 200,000 words read equals 1 ticket for various raffle prizes). From Summer Academy to the last days of school, the boys have their heads in books day in and day out. Special thank you to Mr. Theisen in bringing this to George Jackson Academy.

And the creative journey comes to an end. As we end the 2025-2026 academic year, the 7th grade class developed comic book projects with GJA adjunct art professor .tomonoshi, developing characters, plots, and worlds for their very own comic books. Their creativity knew no bounds, and they were challenged to think out of the box, and did an amazing job. Thank you to Mr. Tomonoshi and Ms. Klema for an amazing 4th year of this special collaboration we have here at GJA, and we're looking forward to year 5!

The last week of the 25-26 School Year! As we count down the last few days of school, part of our celebration of all the hard work the boys have put into their various studies and activities is the end of year Science Expo. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders all presented their various science projects, framed through the Scientific Method, to faculty, staff, and their brothers. A big Thank You to Ms. Lynch, Mr. McLellan, and Mr. Shvartsman and everyone else involved in making this happen.

Happy Friday! Last week, GJA board member Jon Lindsey came by to teach our 8th graders who to juggle, a long time hobby of Mr. Lindsey's and a tradition he was built for a quite a while at GJA. Although the boys didn't get the chance to practice juggling with real balls, they got to use colorful flags to get the technique.

Happy Wednesday! Last Friday we ended our Financial Empowerment Enrichment class, led by board member Mr. Nate Norstrud, with the boys offering financial advice for their esteemed clientele in a series of one-on-one consultations. Our future finance professionals demonstrated expertise in concepts that were new to them just a few weeks prior and offer sound advice for their clients. A big Thank You to Everyone who was involved in making this possible for our boys.

This past Wednesday, the GJA Class of 2027 spent the morning at Morgan Stanley for our Mock Interview Day. We were greeted by Managing Director and GJA Board Member, John Lechner, heard from a guest speaker, and the boys played a stock market game. We ended the day with two rounds of mock interviews to help prepare our 7th graders for fall high school interviews.
As they begin to embark on the high school admissions process, the boys were able to imagine themselves in a brand new setting. They heard from engaging guest speakers with stories similar to their own. They put their math skills to use. They received useful feedback from discerning adults. And they had fun. It was a good day.
Thank you to everyone involved from both GJA and Morgan Stanley for making this amazing day happen!

After coming back from their trip to Washington DC last Thursday, on Friday the 8th graders got to visit the construction site for the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project (ESCR) thanks to Tom Iovino, who leads one of the several construction companies working on this long-term project. The boys got to learn about the ins and outs of a construction site, something that they may overlook on a daily basis, and see how the companies in the construction industry function from the formation of a project to its unveiling. A Big Thank You to Everyone involved in making this happen!

Just a handful of weeks til summer vacation! As we near the graduation of our beloved 8th grade class, last week they got spend 2 days in Washington D.C. as part of their year long study of American History in Mr. Theisen's Humanities class. From guided learning experiences and museums to seeing some of the plentiful monuments in the nations capital, it was an experience they'll never forget. A nice way to cap off three years of growth and development.
