Good Shepherd School At Good Shepherd, we provide our students with a technology-centered education designed to enhance achievement.

Good Shepherd School forms students from Pre-K 3 to Grade 8 into academically prepared and socially conscious young men and women through spirituality, academics, athletics, and the arts. Founded in 1925, Good Shepherd School forms students from Pre-K to Grade 8 into academically prepared and socially conscious young men and women through spirituality, academics, athletics, and the arts. Firmly rooted in our Catholic values and embracing today's best teaching practices, we offer a rigorous curriculum in a disciplined, but nurturing, environment. Our facilities, including our recently updated Computer and Science Labs, Library, Fine Arts Room, and Gym, provide students with comfortable spaces conducive to learning. Weekly art, computer (including robotics), music, and physical education classes augment the daily classroom experience. We also offer 3K and UPK at Good Shepherd School as provided by the NYC Department of Education. Breakfast is available beginning at 7:20 AM and After School Care until 6:30 PM. Numerous extracurricular activities, including ballet, basketball, theater and track, keep students active and engaged outside the classroom. Good Shepherd is part of the Church of the Good Shepherd parish and Friends of Good Shepherd School alumni community. With the support of these organizations, we are continuing our legacy as a Christ-centered school focused on faith, learning, and service. We are conveniently located close to public transportation and welcome students from Inwood, the Bronx, and surrounding communities. GSS Prosecution team, winners of the Thurgood Marshall Jr. Competition this year, as part of their award, was invited to a Yankee Game, the students went down on the field and appeared on the video board! It was a very cool and fun experience!! Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen. Congratulations!!!

GSS competed for the first time at the Thurgood Marshall Jr. Mock Trial Competition this year and we are extremely proud of the Defense and Prosecution teams at the school as they both reached semi-finals. The Prosecution team went into the finals and won the Competition !! We are also very proud of Amerie B, as she won the award for Best Advocate!! Per her own words: "This has been a great opportunity to learn the court system, instill confidence in us and get us out of our comfort zone as well as expose us to a path we might not think on otherwise. This is a career I would like to explore and will be looking for internships that will allow me to do so". 🧑‍⚖️
