Alison Max Rothschild '85 reconnected with Jessica Sibley '87 on a Calhoun visit to Time, where Jess has been serving as CEO since November 2022. The office was full of activity and it was clear that Jess is already leaving her mark on the 100+ year old brand!

The new Lower School building at 85th Street!

We’re officially all settled in at 85th Street! Our new Lower School building houses Open Inquiry and Montessori classrooms and offers increased space and accessibility (including an elevator), as well as proximity to Riverside Park and Big Calhoun. It features a full kitchen, ample outside play areas on the roof and terraces, and a gym. Check it out!

We are proud to announce Celeste Herrera will be Calhoun's next Head of School, beginning July 1, 2024. Celeste, the current Assistant Head at Dalton, shares a deep affinity for Calhoun’s mission and values, and has a strong vision that will bring our school into the future. As she writes, “I am honored to lead Calhoun, a school I have long admired as a foundational voice in progressive education. Together, we will inspire our students, celebrate our faculty and build community among our families and alumni.” Please join us in welcoming Celeste to Calhoun!
