This week, our 2nd–5th grade students took part in their class delegate elections, giving them the opportunity to share their ideas and make their case for representing their classmates.

From posters and campaign promises to ideas for better water fountains, more realistic expectations, and even more snow days, each candidate brought their own perspective to the conversation. After each presentation, students had the chance to ask questions and consider what they would like their class representatives to bring to the table.

The results will be announced at our first official assembly in October. Until then, we’re excited to see our students taking an active role in their classroom communities and learning about the process of representation.

For 敬老の日 (Keirō no Hi), Respect for the Aged, our Pre K-3 and Pre-K students took a special trip to Grand Central Terminal to send letters to their grandparents. 💌

After walking to the post office, students carefully placed their letters in the mailbox, excited to send their drawings, handprints, and warm wishes to loved ones.

Their morning continued with a stroll through Grand Central, where they saw where trains arrive and depart, learned how to read a timetable, and looked up at the famous starry ceiling.

A sweet morning filled with learning, discovery, and connection across generations. 💙

Drawing on teamwork, creativity, and language!

Our 12th grade students kicked off the year with a Taboo-style Pictionary challenge, working together to help their classmates guess each drawing and earn points along the way.

The game started in English, but students were encouraged to communicate in whichever language felt most comfortable. For this group, that naturally meant a lot of French!

A fun way to break the ice, build connections, and put their multilingual communication skills into action.

🌿 A Step Forward for Sustainability at Kennedy International School! 🌍

We are proud to share that in June, our school advanced from Level 1 to Level 2 of the EFE3D (Établissement Français à l'Étranger en Démarche de Développement Durable) certification!

This achievement highlights the incredible commitment of our 20 Eco-Delegates, representing students 4th through 12th grade, under the leadership of Ms. Elodie Taunay, with the support of Ms. Sylvia AKA, our faculty and staff, students, and families.

Together, our community continues to take meaningful action through:
♻️ Environmental awareness campaigns
🌱 Waste reduction initiatives
🦋 Biodiversity projects
💧 Responsible resource management

As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 academic year, we are excited to continue strengthening our sustainability efforts and empowering our students to become environmentally responsible global citizens.

We asked our Kennedy Campers what they liked most about camp, and this is what they had to say.

From making new friends and trying new activities to swimming, sports, creative arts, cooking, and unforgettable field trips, Camp Kennedy was filled with moments that made this summer one to remember.

A big “thank you” to all of our campers, families, and camp staff for making this an incredible summer! We loved creating memories together and can’t wait to welcome you back for more adventures at our Fall Camp.
