Meet Brooklyn Collegiate 2017 graduate Zion Anderson.

Zion transferred to Brooklyn Collegiate at the beginning of his junior year with a 65 average, having passed NO NYS regents exams, and not on track to graduate on time....

But Zion rewrote the ending to his story thanks to some great teachers and a ton of support at Brooklyn Collegiate. In just two years he raised his average almost 10 points, passed 5 NYS Regents exams and graduated on time!!!!

He began classes at Corning Community College last fall. 💪🏾

🗣Behind every success story is a SUPPORT story.

Brooklyn Collegiate Preparatory High School is the only school in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn and one of the few schools in the entire city that accepts ALL students (without screening) and provides them with access to a rigorous advanced placement curriculum which will guide them to college entrance and success...

So it comes as a surprise that Brooklyn Collegiate has been unfairly recommended for closing in June 2018...

This recommendation came several months after the school was deemed “effective” by the city, and administration and staff were praised for their efforts.

This recommendation also came 2 years after the school was promised 3 years of support from the City’s ‘renewal’ program...

Taken together with the fact that Brooklyn Collegiate has outperformed similar renewal school programs in Brooklyn (which will remain open) and is on pace to wildly outperform these schools in 2017-18 the students, staff, administration, and local politicians are outraged!

We️ will fight this and together we are
