Meet Daniel 🤍 Daniel is a dedicated member of the VLA, and men’s track and field team. Alongside the two, he is pursuing a degree in Major Sports Management at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Daniel also earned multiple academic honors, including being named to the CSC Academic All-District team and the UAA Winter All-Academic team. Beyond athletics, he has a passion for coding, gaming, and weightlifting. Daniel aspires to become a sports agent, aiming to support and promote Asian American athletes in the sports industry. He chose NYU for its top-tier sports management program and its vibrant, open-campus environment in the heart of New York City.

Meet VLA Member: Isaac, a standout student-athlete making leaps in the classroom and on the track! This Computer Science major in the College of Arts and Science has excelled in the triple jump, earning titles like UAA Winter All-Academic and CSC Academic All-District. A champion at the NYU DIII Invitational and a consistent top finisher in his events, Isaac pairs his athletic achievements with a love for reading, music, and exploring new places. Isaac chose NYU for its top-tier academics and the endless opportunities in New York City, making it the perfect launchpad for his ambitions.

Meet VLA member, Daniel Lee: Daniel is a driven student-athlete majoring in Sports Management at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Hailing from Palisades Park, NJ, Daniel has made his mark both academically and athletically. With personal bests in the shot put and discus, he’s proven his dedication on the track and field team, earning honors like CSC Academic All-District and Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Second Team. A former high school track and football standout, Daniel balances his love for coding, gaming, and weightlifting with a career goal of becoming a sports agent to elevate Asian American athletes. NYU’s vibrant city campus and premier sports management program make it the perfect fit for this ambitious Violets athlete.

Get to know VLA member, Janie:
Janie, a junior economics major from Atlanta, GA, is excelling on and off the course as a member of NYU’s women’s cross country team. When she’s not running, she enjoys baking, reading, and playing frisbee golf. Aspiring to become a wealth manager and open her own French pastry bakery, Janie brings passion and determination to everything she does, embodying the spirit of a true student-athlete.

Get to know VLA member, Areyanna:
Areyanna McCarthy is making strides on and off the track! This junior biology major from Goshen, NY, balances being a standout student-athlete with aspirations of becoming a surgeon. From breaking personal records in the high jump and triple jump to earning spots on the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and CSC Academic All-District teams, Areyanna proves that hard work and passion pay off.
