FDR High School Brooklyn-Class of 1969

Hello Alumni! The Emerald Anniversary Celebration for the 55th Reunion of the Class of 1969 was held on June 15th 2024 at Vetro's Lounge. The turnout was overwhelming and the warmth was felt throughout the venue. Alumni of the classes of 1968, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 were present for this grand celebration. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and as each wave of Alumni arrived, the love permeated the room! Our years at FDR were something very special, and the reunion only served to reinforce the bond we have maintained for over 55 years! Here are some photos for your enjoyment and another wave of photos will be posted soon! A special thanks to all of who took the time to add this event to their busy summer schedules! Extra Special Thanks to Vetro Restaurant and Lounge for hosting us in grand fashion with their excellent food, bar drinks and service!!!

Hello Alumni! The 55th Anniversary Committee is proud to share the Save the Date for the Emerald Reunion of the Class of 1969. This class was the FIRST to complete 4 full years after FDR opened its doors in 1965. An invitation is extended for the classes of 1968, 1970 and 1971 to attend as we had friends and siblings in these class years! Our Brother and Classmate Soke Ali Abdul-Karim (Vernon Lewis, '69) has joined the ancestors. The love and esteem of Brother Ali/Vernon was evident at his funeral today which shut down and closed Fulton Street and Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn.

The FDR Class of 1969 50th Reunion celebration will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Sirico's in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, NY. (7PM - Midnight). The cost will be $110.00 per person and will include:

Cocktail Hour with passed hors d'oeuvres
Open Bar (liquor, wine, beer, soda)
Buffet Dinner
Dessert, coffee, tea

We will start collecting money soon, and will send out a flyer with all of the details at that time.
